Treating ADHD without the Medication

Arguments are endless when the question comes to medicating or not medicating their children for ADHD. Some people believe that hyperactiveness in children is not something out of the ordinary and stronly disagree when it comes to using drugs to calm children down, or keeping them on strict medication

There are many treatments that don't require medication and can help treat Attention defecit disorder. For instance, rewarding the child for good behavior while ignoring unapproved behavior. Also rewarding after work completion is used in school systems. The child will respond but only with the proper help from his sorroundings. Setting up specific times for school work, and usually after the work is done, reward with praise or the child's preferred decision.

Just like ADHD can be controlled through behavioral routine by generic drugs but diet's can also have a positive effect on behavior. Making sure the child is eating healthier foods and at aproproate hours of the day. Instead of purchasing medication from pharmacies, people are starting to realize that ADHD and ADD are controllable with maintaining routines and practices.
