Not enough medication to go around?

Tuesday, 05/07/2011

Pharmacies, and pharmaceutical suppliers are not being supplied the medication for serious illnesses to support patients. An intense shortage includes such medication as Femara | effective breast cancer medicine, and Bonviva | used to fight bone cancer. The strain on the shipments is also putting pressure on patients that reciever the medication against epilepsy, high blood pressure, kidney disease, and even parkinson's diease.

Finally after being called a first priority by many area leaders such as Sarah Woulnough from the Depart of Health decided to involve other sources. The governemnt is now  cooperating with the the main pharmaceutical wholesaler which supplies a majority of the drugs. The wholesaler reports that he has recieved 20 packets of Macardis | A medication for blood pressure, which is enough to supply a small pharmacy for a month.

It used to be retailers ordering the medication in the morning and than getting the shipment in the afternoon. With the strain, pharmacies are having to tell needy patients at the counter that there will be a 3-day waiting period in order to recieve their prescricptions. Online pharmacies also being hurt by the shortage, not being able to supply patients.

After the flow of medication starts picking up, pharmacies, and online pharmacy industry will be able to market more of the products. With the government and other main sources making the shortage a high priority, the problem will be solved shortly.
